Personally, I prefer to use a wired mouse when I'm doing work rather than a wireless one in case the battery runs out halfway. Confirm I'll get pissed off and panic like fuck.

I was so amazed by this mouse when I first saw it. It was weird because I bought it for the color. The woman at the shop didn't allow me to open it up and see. It went like that...

"Can I see how it looks like inside?" and she replied "Oh no, you can't". -.-

Then I said... "Okay I'll get it, so now can I open it up?" She replied... "Yah, after you pay". -.-

It was not wrapped okay! Is like just a box with no tape or whatsoever I could just open it up LIKE THAT. And she said no. So weird can? -.-

NICE RIGHT?!

I love the color! If you are wondering WHERE'S THE WIRE?! Exactly what was on my mind the first thing she opened it up. And no, it's not a wireless mouse!

See that?! The wires are inside! Damn cool right!!!

I think it's a super good design because it keeps the wires nice and neat inside the mouse itself. I can bring the mouse with me whenever I go without any dangling wires! It's even better than those retractable mouse because you carry only the mouse without the ugly wires even when you're not using it!!

And again, it is super slim... I hate those bulky and fat mouse cause it takes up a lot of space inside my bag. Another feature I find that's super cool about this mouse is what they call the "Hi-Low design".

See that "thingy" there? I don't know what is it called lol. Ok I'm calling it the button. Push the button and the mouse will pop up!

AND YOU GET A HIGHER MOUSE! So cool right!!! OMGGGGGGG

You know how some mouse because it's too slim and low for your palm it can get pretty straining for your arm? So with this Hi-Low design you can adjust according to your own preference! High, or low.

Another thing I like about this mouse is the alloy scrolling wheel which is actually quite hard and "clicky". Means I can use it for Expose on my Mac! Now I don't have to constantly use 4 fingers or press F3! I can do it with the mouse itself!

What I don't like about this mouse is that - maybe I'm still not used to using this mouse or something? - I still feel that it can get quite straining for the arm. We'll see how it goes!

Anyway, I find this quite funny so I'm going to upload a photo of it too...

When School Gives You Lemon

Have a feeling that my third year in NYP is going to suck and that it's going to end real quick.

I don't want school to end, but I hate school.

I love going to school because I learn new things and I get to meet my friends.

But what happens if you go to school and you don't learn anything new? What if you've got no friends?

School is the source of most of my problems. Money comes next. But school is number one.

I'm not from a rich family but at least I am still surviving well; I get my basic needs which is good enough. :)

School... It's like something that you have got no control over.

You've got no choice but to follow what they want you to do and what they want you to learn.

A friend told me this "you can't plan how you want the school to be". My reply, "if I were to plan it, it wouldn't suck this much".

I don't think I paid thousand of dollars to go to school to run on a Friday morning. I can do that on my own time, as and when I like. Neither do I think I paid to go to school just to get consulted and/or insulted.

I mean critiques can be harsh, which is fine. But when it gets personal... I think it's not right, at all.

And it only reflects your professionalism as an educator.

You know it when things are not well planned. & I can tell that my study path isn't.

The teachers themselves don't even know what they want to teach. Fitness module, effective communication, Balance Life module whatever you call that. THAT'S COMPLETE BULLSHIT - imagine you paid thousand of dollars to go to the gym but because they do not have the equipment, they pass you a string... Which is completely useless?

Still remember how I would play this day and night with my cousin. Even spent quite a bit on this game which is now useless to me. But actually, not. 'Cause looking at the furniture it reminds me of the times when I was younger. :D Which is quite sentimental to me.

Boy, I sure miss those times.

The game changed a lot since and so did I.

I must say I actually grew up in the era where the advancement of technology plays a huge part as my "childhood memories". Certainly think that it is going to change for future generations where "game" doesn't mean playing at the playground with your neighbor or people you don't even know and have no contact with but everyday you meet them at the same place and at same time.

Times have changed and so must we.

Yesterday was my first day at work and it also marked the last day. I just want to say the whole entire working environment just sucked. They gave me attitude and that fucked up face. One thing about me is that I hate to depend on others. That's the number one thing about me. Even as simple as getting the keys to the store from the cashier. Mother fucking hell you should look at that bitch's face.

Why will die is it? Fucking threw the key on the table. And fucking asked me to push the trolley wherever I go when I go for my break. Fuck no, I'm not paid during my break time.

Normally when people give me attitude, especially when I'm shopping or when I'm a customer, I would fight back for my rights. I couldn't do it yesterday because they were like "senior". Fuck this shit.

All in all it just sucked. So, I quitted the job yesterday.

Sidebars for blog is so yesterday

I removed the sidebar, quite obvious uh, because I find it pretty redundant. I had been using sidebars for my blog ever since I started blogging. Maybe something for a change. :)

Increase the whole post to the entire page! Cause after all it is a blog. Hence, the post should get the most space. What I want to see at the end of the day are post and images. Not sidebar that didn't serve any purpose.

So, I thought what could I possibly do to replace the sidebar but at the same time I wanna put in my own words, sort of like an introduction about me. And and and, it should be in such a way that it looks clean and not like there's a lot of things all over the place.

And I thought I could do this! Click to open and close it when you're done! Increase in interactivity too! HAHA.

I also figured I could make it a little bit more interesting so I added a thumbnail image of myself.

But the special thing about this image is that it CHANGES and loads a NEW IMAGE EVERYTIME YOU REFRESH THE PAGE!

Calamari!

My favorite Calamari is still from Warren. Miss those wedges, chicken wings and calamari!

It tasted better with the salt. Well, personal preference but Terence said it tasted better with the salt too. It actually enhanced the taste. Without the salt it tasted like fruit juice (but thicker). Eventually, we ran out of salt on the brim of the glass so the rest was kind of yuck.

Can't remember what is this called (Crayfish and Prawn Pasta?). It was huge enough for two to share. Tasted alright, just that the tomato sauce was not as generous as we thought it would be. So, it tasted kind of "dry". If you know what I mean.

The view from where we were sited was great. It was facing Sentosa so we had a partial view of the facade of Resort World... Or was it Universal Studio? I can never get this right because I don't know where is where. But you get the point, it was the one facing Vivo City.

Hello and welcome to my new blogskin! Something very simple, very pastel-liked. Wanted to change my blogskin quite sometime back but didn't have the time to get down to it. I changed my blogskin once every year by the way.

My current blogskin is best viewed in Safari (4 and above) and Google Chrome.

That's because the transitions on the stamps only work in these two browsers.

When you mouse over the stamps. It should slowly fade out. I tried it on Firefox and it didn't work. Not quite sure about Internet Explorer though. Any I.E users? Let me know if it works okay! :)

I started about a month back. Before the Studio Project started, but was actually quite occupied with some stuffs. Or rather, thoughts. Or maybe should I say PROBLEMS? :/

All I did was the "curtains" and "stamps". I wanted a "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" kind of thing. But I don't know what happened I ended up with this current design. Haha.

I just went with the flow and did whatever that was on my mind. I supposed I was thinking of traveling in a hot air balloon to touch the clouds around the CBD area in singapore. Haha.

I spent most of my time trying to do out the footer. I wanted a continuous running cloud. I didn't want a footer that cuts at the end because it'd make the entire page look very "boxy". I tried really hard trying to come out of the box but at the same time keeping it in grid.

Out of all the graphics I created. I spent most of my time creating the cloud image.

The vector image of the Singapore skyline was fun to make! But, Marina Bay Sands was tricky. Because I don't exactly know (I still don't!) how the facade of the building looks like! And the photos on Google are all taken from an angle! I don't know if it's a straight line or a curve line. But anyway, I hope it looks like Singapore though. :x

The next time I go to the Esplande. I must observe the building. LIKE STARE AT IT HARD OR SOMETHING.

Also, I changed the favicon. Favicon is the small little icon on the address bar.

And we put them altogether and *poof*

Few weeks back, I went to an authentic Mexican restaurant and boy was it good! Was pretty curious how Mexican food tasted like. I mean Chinese food is always salty, Malay food is always spicy and Indian food always comes with a pot of curry. Well, I'm not gonna hide. What I had in mind was... A grinning chili with a Sombrero.

We were introduced to the chef himself, Chef Mario.

He introduced himself and I can't remember what else he said because I was busy...

SMS-ing. (I sure miss those times... :'<)

Chef Mario is from Mexico. Duh~ And it's not just that, the ingredients they used were all imported from Mexico. So, you get real Mexican food! Like seriously, real. I guess? I'm not sure where they get their cooking utensils though. Maybe from China? I don't know.

Appetizer 1: Ceviche

I swear this was the best appetizer I've ever had in my life. It was so refreshing! After you put it in your mouth, immediately you'll feel this tingling sensation on your tongue. And if I remember clearly there was a really strong scent of lemon grass. :) Apparently, my tongue was numb by the time I ate like 3/4 of it. And was ready for the next dish!

I mean boy, that's the whole point of having appetizers right?!

Appetizer 2: Quesadillas

This was my favourite of all! Just by looking at this photo makes me salivate! I prefer the one that's made from flour (the one that looks like prata) to the corn one (nachos).

And yes! The inside is CHEESE! Can you see how thick it is?! And when you eat it together with the chili. It's just... Oh... So... Goooood! *Spazzing now* The chili is NOT Sambal Balachan by the way. It was made with some Mexican Chili (sorry, can't remember the name). The combination is just perfect! :D

Appetizer 3: Caesar Salad

I'm not a salad kind of person. But I swear after I had this, I'm so into salads now. The lettuce was crispy and you could feel the crunch. The dressing was special, it was SALTY. It wasn't like Thousand Island or whatsoever. It wasn't thick which was a good thing because I don't really like creamy stuffs.

Main course: Flataslt

This tasted kinda like Chinese food. It was pretty messy. Personally, I hate messy food. But anyway, it was made from corn (like nachos, I supposed). And was wrapped with meat. I'm thinking it was chicken. I mean everything else in the world tastes kinda like chicken too. So yeah, it should be chicken. :) It was accompanied by Avocado sauce at the side. Sorry, didn't take a picture of it. :(

Desserts: Pastel de Tres Leches (3 Layer Milk Cake)

Looking at it makes you want to grab a bite right?! All I can remember about this dish was that it had a really strong milky taste. It was really sweet but when you have it together with the strawberry which was sour; it really complemented with each other. It was a perfect balanced combination!

All in all it was really good! You know this was what that separated me from culinary students. I went there with a "Okay, I'm so gonna eat this" mindset. If Joey was there, she'd be looking at the ingredients they used and probably write an even better post.

I'm not a food blogger. So, pardon me. I'm only here to share with you what I had for lunch that one not-so-fine rainy day. (Well, you don't always get to start with "one fine sunny day" all the time).

Oh and yes, I paid for the meal. :)

I've Become A Geek

Yawnnnnnnnnnnnnnnns.

Was super duper busy with school the past few weeks/months. Okay to be exact, I'm forever busy with school. I mean the workload is just insane! Projects came one after another! I work everyday, 24 hours a day. Well, sort of.

Finally submitted my works! And thank god for the Youth Olympic Games I get 3 weeks of holidays! :D

And also because of the YOG all my work are cramped up! So, I got the same amount of work but with lesser time! Imagine 3 weeks of work all squeezed together! RUSH LIKE CRAZY OKAY!

But I'm glad it's all O O O O ooOoOOOOOoooO OH YEAH OH YEAH OH YEAH OVERRRRR!

Now that I'm on holiday! I'll blog more often too! Was so busy with school I neglected my blog and many other stuffs in life. And one of them is actually SLEEP!

Hello! I am here to intro you some really cool iPhone Apps!

Frankly speaking, the number of iPhone users increased tremendously throughout the past few months. If you're on the train and you look around you, there'll be at least 4 people who are iPhone users.

In school, there's 6 people in my clique. And all 6 of us are iPhone users. :)

I had been eyeing on the iPhone ever since the first iPhone (iPhone Original) but it wasn't avaliable in Singapore. Then, the iPhone 3G. But it wasn't good enough and plus I still had a mobile contract with StarHub. Then the 3G S... And I waited and waited and waited until finally SingTel ended the exclusivity of being the sole teleco in Singapore that sells the iPhone.

I have quite a few good apps in mind but I'm gonna start with 2 first.

Normally, what I'll do is I'll try out the Free app first, test it out. And if it's good, then I'll buy it. I always believe that it takes a lot of hard work to develop an App. And it's only right if you pay for the app if you like it.

Shazam

You might know this already. This is a really wonderful app. If you hear a song on the radio or anywhere but don't know the title of the song. Just point your phone towards the source and Shazam will identify it for you!

It is available FREE on the iTunes App Store but you get only 5 tags per month. If you like the App, you can get the Shazam Encore at $4.99. For that, you'll get unlimited song tagging. :D

This is a really really cool app! It allows you to control your computer (it works for both Mac and Windows) from your iPhone (this should work for iPod touch too. I don't know I have yet to try)! What you have to do is to first download the software from their website at http://www.mobilemouse.com/ on to your computer. After which, download the iPhone App. You have to be connected to a wifi network and ta-dah!

You can control the computer cursor on your iPhone's screen like a mousepad!

If you rotate your phone around. You'll get a full mousepad! More room for navigation.

And you can even remotely use it as a keyboard too!

It's really amazing! You got to try it for yourself to know how great it is. It's great for lazy people (lazy to stretch the arm to type and just want to lean back and relax) but even if you're not. It's fun to play with. :D

At first we were all excited about having lessons out of school (first week was at Ion Orchard) but now as time goes by we're all getting lazier. It's fun... It's fun. So much more fun than having class the good ol' fashioned way.

Steady As It Goes

You know what they say when you plan, don't you! Well, when you plan for something and when things don't go as planned, you'll only be left with disappointment. Makes sense? So, sometimes we should just go with the flow.

In other words, MAKE IMPROMPTU DECISIONS!

I had my most successful barbeque ever. Normally, when there's BBQ, I won't get to eat much (at most a sausage) or the food would either be burnt or overcooked.

But not this time! Even though it was planned pretty last minute but things went very smoothly. Kudos to Keith Chang! :D Even though it rained but we still had a great time. Thank god it stopped raining.

I had my braces tighten the day before the BBQ. Couldn't eat anything and so I went to the BBQ with an empty stomach. Was so so so hungry but I couldn't bite on anything cause it was hurting so badly.

Felt so much better after I took out the rubber bands though. Should have taken it out earlier lor.

From got sun start the fire start until no sun. Hahaha! Wilson Lai is super phwail~

And finally, I had my first meal of the day...

The food was good lah, seriously.

Even though I couldn't figure out if the Otah was cooked anot but it tasted really good! I think at that time everything tasted really good to me. Super hungry you know!

Studio Project Two!

I have a love-hate relationship with SP. It's always crazy in the sense that we work all day and we meet problems halfway through. Hate it when we have decided on something and went along with the plan, halfway through then we found out that we weren't doing it right!

We did all sorts of crazy things during SP. Well, sort of.

Some Things Never Change.

Didn't update for a while because I was plain lazy and that there's nothing much to update about too.

One of the things that happened during the holidays was the death of my grandmother. My grandmother was diagnosed with Cancer last year and she went into... Well, coma? I don't really know the scientific term for that but you get the point. She was unconscious.

I was not able to visit her everyday in the hospital because of school but I did whenever I had time during the weekends.

She left peacefully.

I'm not gonna put in anymore details because I never talked about my family stuffs with anyone.

Found a couple of nostalgic items that I never knew existed! Was going through a couple of old photo albums and here's what we found...

Damn cute righttttt! Since when did we do such a thing! I don't even remember! But it feels really good when you find things like that.

You can change your looks, your style, your attitude but there's something that you can never change.

There's a Chinese saying that goes something like "Ten years like one day" (whatever the translation you get the point). That photo (on the right, duh) was taken this Lunar New Year. I guess it's in the blood lah.

Hey, Chinese People!

I have to confess. I hate gatherings like this. It's awkward and it's weird. Relatives you meet once every year would ask you tons of questions. BUT! This year, it wasn't that bad. But I still see stares and hear mumbles though.

This year was simple. No visiting at all! Went to my cousins' place in the evening and that's all.

The great thing about this year's new year was that I get to hang out with my cousins (and probably a few other relatives). We rarely get together; Once a year. Everyone (or maybe it's just me) is just too busy with our own stuffs that we hardly have any extra time to do some catching up with one and other.

Even though my cousins and I seldom get together but one thing doesn't change: We know each other pretty well. I don't know how to put it into words but it's just this feeling that doesn't subside. It stays there. This connection that stays between us.

I didn't get to talk to quite a lot of people either. I spent most of my time with my cousins. I want to talk to my grandmother so badly. But, I just don't know what to say. I'm such a terrible grandchild. :(

I just want to say that even when I don't show it. That doesn't mean I don't care. 'Cause I do. But it's just that I don't know how to express it the right way.

I'm not the typical Chinese.

I don't call people by the salutation (or whatever you call them). I just say "hi". That doesn't mean I'm rude and I don't respect you. I still greet but I don't like the idea of greeting everyone ONE BY ONE with their "title". I still call my grandparents and a few other older people. But not everyone because I believe they are young enough to accept it.

I feel that I'd look like an idiot if I start calling everyone one by one the moment I step in. Why the hassle when I can just shout "HELLO!"? PLUS, you meet them every once a year. Don't expect me to remember what to call them because I won't. I have more important stuffs to remember in my limited hard disk called The Human Brain.

I know this is a very wordy post but just want to jot down my thoughts about this year's lunar new year celebration. :) I didn't take any photos but I'm hoping to get some from my cousin. Vivian, if you are reading this... Please upload or send me the NICE PHOTOS ONLY! (Note: THE EMPHASIS)

The Boat Is Steaming

Had Steamboat with my poly mates! :D It was aweeeeeeeeeeesome!

We went there after the Studio Project briefing on Monday. The word WIGGLE will start appearing all the time from now on! Reason why is because we've chosen the word "Wiggle" as our verb to work with for this project.

I think the raw food looks gross on photo!

SEE! Look at the chicken! I mean when you're cooking or handling the food that time it's okay but on pictures it just looks gross!

Keith's Anyhow Creation: Egg with sausage. The raw egg looks gross here too!

We spent $19.20 per person on this at Chuan Yi Pin. The food was pretty okay. Considered quite a lot for me. They had crabs, crayfish, sotong etc. Other than the seafood, what I really love was the beef! It was like one mountain and it was dope! *Do hand-sign*.

But I was appalled by their service. There were six of us but we were only given one steamboat machine. Others they two people one steamboat leh. So, I was thinking... If we come two by two. We would have 3 of that what. More spacious right?! And we were given the small pathetic square wooden table. Different from the rest! Others their chairs still can lean against one but ours don't have lor! WTF.

Anywayyyyy, after that we went for...

I love ice-cream but hate it when it melts and flow until your finger. It kind of makes your whole hand sticky. D: Righttttttttt?! Hope I'm not the only person with this problem.

We stayed in school till about 2AM last Wednesday to rush the AVP video editing and 12AM plus on Thursday for UCD video prototype filming. Crazy shittttt!

And Studio Project started! It's now three weeks instead of the usual two! :( The good thing is that we'll have more time to work with our stuffs but the bad thing is we'll have 1 more week of hell. Have to be in school the entire day! Morning to night!

24 Hours A Day Is Not Enough

If only we have more than 24 hours a day! Maybe like buy prepaid card then can extend the time or something! Seriously, I need more time!

For the whole of this week was just school, school, school and school. My timetable on Monday starts at 9AM and ends at 9PM! The next day I have school at 9AM again! Not forgetting I have to do work on Monday night/Tuesday morning. And making things worse is that I have to wake up early to prepare for school and travel from CCK all the way to YCK!

Slept a few hours only!

This was what that kept me so busy this week...

FINAL CUT PRO!

We were supposed to come out with an Instructional Video. I should have took a photo of the later part of the editing. It looks so 'clean' here. Coming to the end there were more clips, more audio etc. Making the whole thing look so messy and complicated!

This week was Open House. But lucky enough, Valissa and I were not involve so we had more time to work on our video. :)

So, basically on Wednesday and Thursday we spent the entire day in school (till about 10pm) on the video! My eyes were popping out, literally! And I had some fucked up issues with my contact lens.

Supposed to have no school on Friday but had to submit 2 projects. Got to wake up early again and rush to school. D: And I hate it when I need a cab badly but there isn't any at sight!

That kinda summarized my week.
